What it is

A hot towel shave is a traditional straight razor shave. At Hair Culture America it includes a hot lather, a hot towel, a facial, a massage and the straight razor shave. It takes about an hour, so the goal is to sit back and relax.

Why the hot towel

Heat and steam soften the hair and open up the skin, and the lather helps the razor glide. That is why a hot shave feels different from a quick shave at home.

Before you come

If you have sensitive skin or a skin condition, tell your barber before the shave starts.

Which shave to book

The hot towel shave is $45 and is booked for one hour. The regular shave is a shorter option at $25 and 20 minutes. If you want a haircut too, the haircut with a hot shave is $65 and 50 minutes. See hot towel shave to book.
